Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. Walk-ins are risky—like throwing blindfolded - we don't keep staff onsite unless there's a booking.
Booking calendar opens 3 weeks out—so if you don’t see your date, it just means we’re not that far into the future yet. Check back the following week or shoot us an email if you're planning a wedding event or party: downtownaxeptx@gmail.com.

Can I book outside the normal operating hours?
Absolutely. Just because we have posted hours doesn’t mean we follow ‘em. Want to throw before brunch or after last call? We’re game—as long as the lanes are open and the vibe’s right. Perfect for group date nights, bachelor/bachelorette parties, wedding weekends, or any excuse to rally your crew and throw sharp things together. Is there alcohol or food?
We throw sober. No alcohol in the space. Save the drinks for after—Downtown Paris has plenty of spots to brag and celebrate.
Food is encouraged. We don't have any onsite, so bring it or have it delivered. Tons of great options within a one block radius.
Food options within walking distance include: The Vintage Hangout, Paris Brewing Co., 107, Jaxx Burgers, Mateo's Kitchen, Paris House, Vin de Paris, The Corner Cafe, Bon Fire and more!

Can I bring my own axe?
Only if you're also bringing a liability waiver from your mom. (Kidding. Kind of.) We provide everything you need.

Is smoking allowed inside?
Unless you’re on fire from how good your throw was—nah, no smoking in the building.

Is it safe?
Safer than your group text drama. All sessions start with a quick safety briefing and our trained staff supervise every throw.

What’s the age requirement?
Throwers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
We don’t have a strict age limit, but we do have a simple rule: if you can safely hold and throw a real axe, follow directions, and handle a loud, rowdy environment—you're probably good to go. If you’re too small, too wobbly, or too distracted by shiny things, you might need to sit this one out (or come back when you’ve grown into your Viking era).

How many people per lane?
- Single Target: Up to 4 throwers
- Double Target: Up to 8 throwers
Can others come watch you miss? Certainly.

What if someone in my group is late?
They can still join, but your time starts when it's booked. Be early. Be ready. Be better than Chad.

What should I wear?
Closed-toe shoes are a must. Flannel’s encouraged but not required. Bonus points for looking like you split logs for fun.

Can I cancel or reschedule?
Nope. All bookings are final. If you can’t make it, gift your slot to a friend—it builds character and street cred.

Do you host events or parties?
Absolutely. Birthdays, breakups, team building, divorce celebrations—we don’t judge. Rent the whole place and make it yours.

Can I book more than a 1 hour throwing session?
Yep! Want to throw for 2 hours? 3? Go wild. Just book each 1-hour session separately—we’ll make sure you stay on the same lane so your aim (and your ego) can keep improving.
